Girl-Power

Just to let everyone know about a new group founded by 
on 30th April 2010, which so far has 117 members.
The group is
and despite the name it has nothing to do with The Spice Girls or burning bras, but instead focuses entirely on my personal favourite genre of art: beautiful women in positions of power!
As elfguy put it himself:
"When I thought about making a group of my own, I tried to think of a somewhat unique angle to focus on, and I think that while a lot of groups focus the beauty of the female figure, there was still needs for a place where we could showcase all the Girl Power art, and thus this group was born."
The quality of the deviations in the group has been high so far and I'm getting an above average percentage of artwork I really like in my inbox. Basically, if you like the kind of art I create, and I'm assuming you do or you probably wont be reading this, then I highly recommend this group. It has a very relaxed submissions policy, is currently accepting one deviation per day and is very anti-censorship (within the rules set by dA of course).
I'm an admin there too, and I've never been an admin in a deviantART group before, so I have new found powers coursing through my veins that I want to use on you!

Quiet Time

Just to let everyone know that I will have no internet access for the next 7-14 days while I move home.
The last time I moved home, just 4 short months ago, I had no internet access for 3 weeks, and I rendered away in Daz Studio to my hearts content. It turned out to be a very artistically productive period. Most of the renders done in that time are still awaiting upload, I did that many of them.
So anyway, here's hoping that not being able to play World of Warcraft all day will get me back into Daz Studio for another couple of weeks. Who knows what inspiration will strike me, I look forward to finding out.
Will catch up with all those I Watch and who Watch me when I have internet access again. Best wishes to you all

Another Year Goes By

My very first Daz Studio image was posted here on January 16th 2008 and here we are 12 months later, with 55 images in my gallery. 
I think I have come a looooong way in that year, especially comparing my first image to my newest image
I've met some lovely people in my first year here and have often been blown away by the support I have been shown. So this is just to say thank you to everybody that has been kind enough to leave a comment or add one of my images to their favourites this year.

Waaagh!

Finally the long awaited launch of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has come and gone and I am now well and truly addicted to yet another MMO.
This probably means I will be doing less renders per month than normal, although I still love playing around in Daz Studio, it makes a very relaxing break from everything else, and unlike in my World of Warcraft days, I do take breaks from playing games now.
I still have lots of images saved on my computer ready to upload, including my new series of images inspired by the Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman (books I am re-reading after originally reading them 24 years ago when they first came out in 1984). So far I have completed images of Caramon & Tika, Raistlin, Laurana, Tanis and Goldmoon. I'm about to start work on some of the more difficult characters like Flint and Tasslehoff.
To new visitors and those who have found something in my gallery that they like, thanks for the comments, faves and well, just for stopping by!
To friends old and new, best wishes and may the winter months ahead be kind to you.
